ARC Raiders had 100 quests as of Riven Tides (PC Gamer, May 1, 2026), and Frozen Trail added 22 more on Oct 8, 2026, for about 122. They come from the traders Shani, Celeste, Tian Wen, Apollo and Lance, and since 2.0 from Cassio; since 2.0 they also grant XP, and since Sep 2026 an Expedition no longer has to reset them.

You take them from the traders in Speranza: Shani, Celeste, Tian Wen, Apollo and Lance, and since 2.0 Cassio, who replaced Ermal as the Nomadic Envoy. There is no separate campaign: the quests carry the story, as GameRant notes. In Frozen Trail, guides name the giver of several: Tracks of the Beast and When Everything Falls come from Shani, Sizing Things Up and Ruins and Reverberations from Celeste, To the Skies from Apollo, and Clean Hands from the Nomadic Envoy.

Quest order

What quests pay

Quest rewards are items, and since 2.0 also XP, shown in the quest text; see Skill Tree for what XP does. Before 2.0, quests gave no XP. Reward lists on these pages are dated: the launch list is KeenGamer's from Nov 8, 2025, the Flashpoint and Riven Tides lists are PC Gamer's from May 1, 2026, and no reliable source has rechecked them against 2.3.0.

Some rewards matter more than others. The Major's Footlocker gave the Hullcracker Blueprint at launch, the only way to get it until Embark promised other routes on Aug 21, 2026; Lost in Transmission gave the Snap Hook; Settled in Full paid 30 Raider Tokens as of May 2026. What to keep for quests

1:47 TheGamer's Nov 8, 2025 list says to hold on to 1 Fireball Burner (What Goes Around), 2 Snitch Scanners, 3 Hornet Drivers and 3 Wasp Drivers (The Trifecta), 1 Tick Pod (Small, But Sinister), 6 Wires and 1 Battery (Trash into Treasure), and 1 Rocketeer Driver (Out of the Shadows). PC Gamer's May 2026 list asks for fewer for The Trifecta (one of each driver and scanner), so check the objective before you sell. The rest of the sell-or-keep advice is on Materials. Above's Nov 2025 tip is to keep one copy of each valuable for later quests.

Quests and Expeditions

An Expedition used to send you back through the line. After complaints that it felt repetitive, Embark made the reset opt-in, and since update 1.45.0, Sep 8, 2026, starting an Expedition does not reset quests by default; you choose at departure. None is running on Oct 31, 2026, and they return in early 2027.

Known quest bugs

As of update 2.3.0, Oct 27, 2026, Embark lists three open problems. Extracting with partial progress on To the Skies may block it. In When Everything Falls, objectives such as "Photograph Port A" may not complete for some players. And if you lose or sell a quest item, such as Clean Hands' Equatorial Sundial, some quests cannot be finished. So do not sell a quest item.
