Bully, Skulker and Hydra

The Bully, Skulker and Hydra are the new ARC in ARC Raiders' Frozen Trail update of Oct 8, 2026. Hit the Bully's yellow leg joints with a Hullcracker, break the Skulker's wheels, and fight the Frigate's three-part Hydra from cover in short windows.

The Bully, Skulker and Hydra are the three machines added by Frozen Trail, update 2.0, on Oct 8, 2026: shoot the Bully's yellow leg joints, break the Skulker's wheels, and take on the Hydra's three sections from cover. All three are new, guides still disagree on details, and no reliable source gives official health values as of Oct 31, 2026. Embark's notes are checked through update 2.3.0 (Oct 27, 2026). Embark's designers introduce the new machines in the clip.

Sources: Embark's Frozen Trail post, TheGamer on the Bully (Oct 9, 2026), Beebom on the Skulker (Oct 16, 2026), Game Rant on the Fallen Emperor (Oct 10, 2026).

Bully

Embark calls the Bully a machine-learned enemy that gallops upon your position, and says to use cover, time your response and hit your shots. Game Rant lists three attacks: a Cluster Bomb of eight grenades that also slows you, a 360-degree shotgun turret up close, and a bull-rush that knocks you down (Oct 10, 2026). In the clip, an Embark designer describes its hit-and-run charges and canister shotgun.

Weak points. TheGamer names the yellow joints on its four legs as the main targets; stripping the cannon's armor exposes another yellow point, and destroying it removes its weapons (Oct 9, 2026). Game Rant adds that shooting joints knocks it down briefly, long enough to reach a building or high ground.

Weapons. TheGamer ranks the Hullcracker first, with the Anvil, Aphelion, Bettina and Jupiter also solid; about four Wolfpacks or two Deadlines kill one, and Showstoppers stall it. Game Rant likes the Hullcracker, Rascal or an Anvil with X-Rounds Amplification from high ground, with a Snap Hook to climb. See Weapon Amplification.

Where. TheGamer found it only on Pendola Pass on Oct 9, 2026: around the train north of Railroad Junction, either side of the Commissary Supermarket and east of the Fallen Emperor. See Pendola Pass.

Bully Fragmenter. Yield reports conflict: TheGamer usually got about one per Bully, Game Rant says 4 to 6 per kill. Both say to loot the body first. You need 6 for Research Station level III (Game Rant, Oct 14, 2026): see Outpost and Research. The Outpost's own build also asks for damage to Bullies, per Beebom (Oct 9, 2026). Tracks of the Beast asks you to ping a Bully and a Skulker in one round (KeenGamer, Oct 9, 2026).

Skulker

The Skulker is an opportunistic ambusher that lies in wait, and a momentary distraction sees it retreat out of sight, Embark says. It glides across the floor, shrinks when moving, and deals heavy damage in short bursts (Insider Gaming, Oct 8, 2026) from a tail-mounted weapon.

Weak points. Guides split. Beebom says shoot its four wheels to incapacitate it, then aim for the head (Oct 16, 2026). Insider Gaming, writing on launch day, says it has no notable direct weak points, so target the thrusters or the scorpion-like rifle when it takes aim. Beebom is the later and more specific of the two.

Weapons. Beebom recommends the Renegade, Bettina, Anvil, Osprey or a basic Ferro, plus a couple of Seeker Grenades.

Where. Beebom finds it mainly on the outskirts of Pendola Pass and outside buildings and shelters, and also during the Frigate and Redirection conditions. See Frigate.

Drops. Beebom lists Skulker Targeter, Heavy Ammo, Advanced ARC Powercell, ARC Thermo Lining, ARC Coolant and ARC Data Module. The Targeter is an Uncommon deployable turret that targets nearby ARC or Raiders, 9 damage and 25 m range, per Insider Gaming (launch-day figures). Research Station level II takes 5 (Game Rant, Oct 14, 2026), and since 2.1.0 (Oct 13, 2026) Mobile-Fire Grip Fittings research correctly takes Targeters, not Skulker Drivers. 2.3.0 stopped players standing on one indefinitely.

Hydra

The Hydra is a stationary turret split into three stacked, autonomous sections with a triple threat of weapons, found on the Frigate; divert its attention, find cover quickly and attack when the moment comes, Embark says. It is also in the Fallen Emperor, with up to three in the Harvester Payload room (Game Rant, Oct 10, 2026).

How to kill it is the thinnest part of this page. The only written guide we can cite is Sportskeeda's, seen only as a search excerpt (Oct 2026), which suggests targeting the three modules with high-penetration weapons such as the Equalizer, using a Barricade Kit and Hullcracker, and, for solos, circling close since turrets track slowly. Be careful with that last tip after the 2.2.0 patch below. No reliable source we could read in full lists its drops as of Oct 31, 2026. In the clip, from before 2.2.0, Fallout Plays advises cover behind a ledge on the Frigate (Oct 16, 2026).

Embark changed it within two weeks. Update 2.2.0 (Oct 20, 2026) made its weapons spread across different targets as intended, raised its base damage to compensate and fixed its trouble hitting close targets, so advice written earlier undersells it, especially up close. A known issue at 2.0 let it detect and shoot through walls in the Cargo area without dealing damage. Vaulting on its remains is stable since 2.1.0.

Frequently asked questions

How do you kill a Bully in ARC Raiders? Shoot the yellow joints on its four legs, best with a Hullcracker from high ground, and strip the cannon armor to reach a yellow point that removes its weapons. Showstoppers stall it, TheGamer says (Oct 9, 2026).

Where do you find the Bully in ARC Raiders? On Pendola Pass, around the train north of Railroad Junction, either side of the Commissary Supermarket and east of the Fallen Emperor, per TheGamer's guide of Oct 9, 2026.

How many Bully Fragmenters do you need in ARC Raiders? Six for Research Station level III, per Game Rant (Oct 14, 2026). Reports of the yield differ, from about one per Bully to 4 to 6 per kill.

How do you kill a Skulker in ARC Raiders? Beebom says to shoot its four wheels to incapacitate it, then aim for the head (Oct 16, 2026). It is hard to hit while it glides, Insider Gaming says.

What is the Skulker Targeter in ARC Raiders? A unique Skulker drop that works as a deployable turret against nearby ARC or Raiders. Research Station level II needs 5, per Game Rant (Oct 14, 2026).

How do you beat the Hydra in ARC Raiders? Embark's advice is to divert its attention, get to cover fast and attack in windows. Since update 2.2.0 (Oct 20, 2026) it spreads fire between targets and hits harder, especially up close.

Where is the Hydra in ARC Raiders? On the Frigate, and in the Fallen Emperor on Pendola Pass, where Game Rant found up to three in the Harvester Payload room (Oct 10, 2026).
