Weapon Amplification
Weapon Amplification is ARC Raiders' fifth quality level, added in update 2.0 on Oct 8, 2026, for 15 guns. It needs a level IV gun, a Gunsmith and Research Station at level 4 and a matching Amplification Module, and it cannot be undone.
Weapon Amplification takes one of 15 ARC Raiders guns past level IV to a fifth quality level with a branching path of abilities that can change how it behaves, such as Embark's examples of a fully automatic Burletta, a scoped Renegade and a Rattler with incendiary bullets and a 64-bullet drum. It arrived with Frozen Trail, update 2.0, Oct 8, 2026. You need an upgraded Outpost, a matching Amplification Module and a level IV gun, and the change is permanent. No reliable source ranks the amplified guns as of Oct 31, 2026; the closest advice is below.

How to unlock it
- Unlock the Outpost. Beebom's Outpost guide (Oct 9, 2026) has you photograph a farmland house (Ruined Homestead, near Ancient Fort on The Blue Gate) with a camera and extract; submit 3 Planks, 5 Sheet Metal, 10 ARC Alloy and 3 Advanced Electrical Components; then deal 800 damage to flying ARC and 300 to a Bully. Game Rant gives 3 Sheet Metal, so check in game.
- Raise the Outpost to level 4. Destructoid (Oct 10, 2026) lists level 2 as 3 Steel Cable, 20 Sheet Metal and 3 Cable Strippers; level 3 as 3 Epoxy Buckets, 35 Planks and 3 Hand Drills; and level 4 as 40 Sheet Metal, 3 Laser Levels and 3 Insulation Rolls.
- Raise the Gunsmith to level 4: 3 Radial Press, 3 Magnetic Accelerators and 1 Emperor Modulator.
- Raise the Research Station to level 4 (Beebom; Game Rant says level III in one place and IV in another). Per Game Rant: build it from 3 Mini Pump, 35 Planks and 5 Battered Paperback; level II takes 3 Calculator, 3 Raider Logbook and 5 Skulker Targeter; level III takes 3 Differential Microphone, 3 Exodus Technical Handbook and 6 Bully Fragmenter; level IV takes 3 Thermal Shaker, 3 ARC Data Module and 1 Frigate Inductor.
- Bring the gun to level IV and the right module, then press Amplify at the Gunsmith. Update 2.2.0 (Oct 20, 2026) renamed that button from "Ascend."

Sources: Beebom's guide (Oct 14, 2026), Game Rant's list of the 15 (Oct 14, 2026). Destructoid's table (Oct 10, 2026) calls Ergonomic Bolt "Straight Bolt" and omits the Burletta; check names in game.
Not on the list as of Game Rant's guide: Stitcher, Ferro, Arpeggio, Tempest, Venator, Torrente, Bobcat, Vulcano, Dolabra, Bantam and Stiletto. Embark says more guns are planned, with no date.
What the options do
- Incendiary Rounds and Grenades: 5 burn damage per second, and 2 seconds added to ongoing burns (Destructoid, Oct 10, 2026).
- Tracker Rounds: reveal a target for 5 seconds on hit.
- X-Rounds: on the Anvil, slightly more damage to Raiders and much more to ARC armor.
- Anti-Weak Point: more damage to ARC weak points, less to armor.
- Anvil Splitter: each bullet splits into four weaker projectiles. It stopped being a mod in update 2.0, and Game Rant says it is unlocked by default.
- Slug Rounds: one large projectile with massive damage in place of shells on the Il Toro.
- Mag Reload: reloads the Hullcracker's magazine all at once.
- Ramping Damage: damage rises while the Equalizer's beam stays on a valid target.
- Charged Burst: a longer charge fires more projectiles from the Aphelion.
- Carbine Conversion: better stability and accuracy, lower agility on the Canto.
- Drum Mag: 64 bullets on the Rattler, Embark's own figure.
No reliable source gives magazine sizes or damage numbers for most of the rest as of Oct 31, 2026. Update 2.1.0 (Oct 13, 2026) fixed the Hairpin's Semi-Auto so it deals its reduced headshot damage.
Research and modules
Modules come from Frigates or the fallen Emperor on Pendola Pass under the Redirection condition, and the author found the Pneumatic Actuator and Pressure Regulator only in Emperor Payload (Destructoid, Oct 10, 2026). See Frigate, Pendola Pass and Map Conditions.
Most options must be researched first. Each has a task, then a payment of Research Points and materials; up to 5 Amplified Research quests can be active, and a researched option applies to every compatible gun (Game Rant, Oct 14, 2026). Examples: Embedded Blast Engineering costs 5,000 Research Points and 5 Rocketeer Drivers plus a damage task, and Extended Burst Cycles asks for 10 Comet Igniters and 10,000 damage with a Burst Burletta or Charged Burst Aphelion (KeenGamer, Oct 9, 2026). Mobile-Fire Grip Fittings takes Skulker Targeters, corrected in update 2.1.0. Update 2.3.0 (Oct 27, 2026) made branch tooltips name the amplifications they block.
A gun takes up to two amplifications, some incompatible with each other. Amplifying restores up to 25% of durability and adds durability, damage and other stats at level V. Recycling a leftover Anvil Splitter gives Amplified Fragments, which repair amplified guns.
Best amplified weapons
No reliable outlet ranks them as of Oct 31, 2026, and rankings on shop and boosting sites are not used here. What the press does say:
- KeenGamer (Oct 9, 2026) suggests starting with the guns where amplification makes the biggest practical difference, naming the Rattler, Burletta, Kettle, Renegade, Hairpin and Equalizer, and advises against amplifying a gun just because you hold its module.
- Game Rant (Oct 14, 2026) calls Incendiary Rounds and X-Rounds "the most powerful Amplifications."
- By cost, the Rattler, Kettle and Hairpin use the Mk. I module, the lowest step.
Because the change is permanent, choose a gun you already use. For the base guns, see Best Weapons; for kits, Best Builds and Best Loadouts. In the clip, Crazymrpipz would amplify the Jupiter first, then the Equalizer, and not rush the Aphelion (Oct 14, 2026), a creator's view.
