Materials

In ARC Raiders keep what upgrades and quests want (ARC parts, Rusted Gear, Batteries, Sensors), recycle junk with no other use, and sell Trinkets and high-value oddities. Every published keep or sell list predates Frozen Trail (Oct 8, 2026), so use the game's item tracking for new materials.

In ARC Raiders you should keep anything a Workshop upgrade or quest still wants, recycle junk with no other use, and sell Trinkets and other high-value oddities for Coins. One warning first: every press keep and sell list predates Frozen Trail (update 2.0, Oct 8, 2026), so none covers its new materials such as Sheet Metal, Planks, Cable Stripper, Calculator, Radial Press or Emperor Modulator. Track what you need in game before selling anything you do not recognize.

The material classes

Dexerto groups materials three ways as of Mar 25, 2026:

  • Basic: Chemicals, Fabric, Metal Parts, Plastic Parts, Rubber Parts.

  • Topside: ARC Alloy, ARC Circuitry, ARC Motion Core, ARC Powercell, Battery, Canister, Simple, Light, Medium, Heavy and Complex Gun Parts, Shotgun Parts, Duct Tape, Exodus Modules, Great Mullein, Magnet, Moss, Oil, Processor, Rope, Sensors, Speaker Component, Steel Spring, Synthesized Fuel, Syringe, Voltage Converter, Wires.

What to keep

For the Workshop: everything in the station lists on Crafting and the Workshop. That means ARC parts as well as household junk. TheGamer's Nov 8, 2025 cheat sheet totals some of the big ones: 10 Advanced Electrical Components, 5 Advanced Mechanical Components, 8 Antiseptic, 15 Apricot (for Scrappy), 10 ARC Circuitry, 8 Wasp Driver, 8 Tick Pod and 8 Fireball Burner. Those are launch figures, before Gunsmith 4.

For quests: TheGamer's list of launch-era quest items, with quest names as of Nov 8, 2025. See Quests for what each asks now.

Item Quest
1 Fireball Burner What Goes Around
2 Snitch Scanner, 3 Hornet Driver, 3 Wasp Driver The Trifecta
1 Tick Pod Small, But Sinister
6 Wires, 1 Battery Trash Into Treasure
1 Rocketeer Driver Out Of The Shadows
1 Surveyor Vault Mixed Signals
2 Antiseptic, 1 Syringe, 1 Durable Cloth, 1 Great Mullein Doctor's Orders

Never salvage early. Game Rant's list for new players is Battery, Canister, Mod Components, Antiseptic, Durable Cloth, Simple Gun Parts, Duct Tape, Magnet, Oil, Processor, Sensors, Steel Spring, Voltage Converter and Wires (Nov 17, 2025). GamesRadar+ adds that humble items such as Batteries and Rusted Gears get wanted by quests later (Dec 26, 2025).

ARC Alloy is the most general of these: the shields, three level 1 station upgrades and the ARC Motion Core and ARC Circuitry recipes all take it. Update 1.2.0 raised that recipe to 8 ARC Alloy, and the Outpost's second stage asks for 10 ARC Alloy (KeenGamer, Oct 8, 2026).

Rusted Gear is a level 3 Gunsmith cost (3 of them, Nov 2025), and recycles into Mechanical Components, so keep three before you break any down.

What runs out late. Game Rant names Sensors, Durable Cloth, Electrical Components, Mechanical Components and Gun Parts, and says Celeste sells nine Gun Parts a day, three of each type (Nov 19, 2025). Update 2.0 moved Celeste's trades toward new materials for furniture and new gadgets, so check her stock today. See Speranza and the Traders.

What to recycle

PCGamesN's list of items with no use beyond their components (Mar 23, 2026): Accordion, Alarm Clock, Bicycle Pump, Broken Flashlight, Broken Handcuffs, Broken Riot Shield, Burned ARC Circuitry, Candle Holder, Crumpled Plastic Bottle, Damaged ARC Motion Core, Deflated Football, Garlic Press, Headphones, Ice Cream Scooper, Industrial Magnet, Metal Brackets, Number Plate, Portable TV, Power Bank, Remote Control and Spring Cushion.

PCGamesN also listed the Camera Lens as safe to recycle, but since update 2.0 the Advanced Camera needs one (Beebom, Oct 9, 2026), so keep one.

Recycle at home: KeenGamer says recycling in Speranza returns more than salvaging in the field (Nov 10, 2025), and PCGamesN says recycling Topside items yields only basic resources, usually far fewer (Mar 23, 2026). The fastest check is the inventory tooltip, which has shown recycle and salvage outputs since 1.17.0.

Recycle for what you need

Destructoid's list of Jan 14, 2026:

You need Recycle
Rubber Parts ARC Flex Rubber, Rubber Pad
Plastic Parts Ruined Riot Shield, ARC Synthetic Resin
Chemicals Cooling Coil, ARC Coolant
Fabric Tattered ARC Lining, Ruined Parachute, Torn Blanket
Metal Parts Ice Cream Scooper, Frying Pan, ARC Performance Steel
Mechanical Components Rusted Gear, Shredder Gyro, Turbo Pump, Sentinel Firing Core
Advanced Mechanical Components Flow Controller, Leaper Pulse Unit, Microscope, Mini Centrifuge
Electrical Components Rotary Encoder, Fried Motherboard, Signal Amplifier, Hornet Driver
Advanced Electrical Components Spectrometer, Frequency Mod Box, Telemetry Receiver

Some of these (Sentinel Firing Core, Leaper Pulse Unit, Hornet Driver, Fried Motherboard) are also upgrade costs on Crafting and the Workshop: keep what you still need.

What to sell

Trinkets are marked with a diamond and have no crafting use (TheGamer, Nov 4, 2025). Sell them first. Destructoid's sell list, with values as of Jan 14, 2026:

Value Items
3,000 Sample Cleaner
2,000 Broken Guidance System, Broken Handheld Radio, Flame Spray, Unstable Weapon
1,000 Alarm Clock, Coolant, Deflated Football, Headphones, Industrial Charger, Polluted Air Filter, Radio, Remote Control, Thermostat

Values move. ARC Parts' sell values were cut in 1.17.0 to reflect their crafting use, and the Power Cell fell from 640 to 270 in 1.3.0. Trader prices are fixed and there is no player market, KeenGamer notes, so compare value per Stash slot (Dec 12, 2025). Cassio takes high-value items for weekly rewards since 2.0. For routes that earn the most, see Money Making Guide.

New materials since Frozen Trail

Update 2.0 brought materials the older lists do not mention. Their known uses:

Other stack and value changes: the Vaporizer Regulator stacks to 3 since 1.26.0.

Frequently asked questions

What should you keep in ARC Raiders? Anything a Workshop upgrade or tracked quest wants: ARC parts such as Wasp Drivers and Tick Pods, plus Batteries, Sensors, Rusted Gear and ARC Alloy. Published lists date from Nov 2025 to Mar 2026, before update 2.0, so also check item tracking in game.

What can you safely recycle in ARC Raiders? PCGamesN's Mar 23, 2026 list includes Accordion, Alarm Clock, Bicycle Pump, Broken Flashlight, Headphones and Remote Control. Keep one Camera Lens, because since update 2.0 the Advanced Camera needs it.

What should you sell in ARC Raiders? Trinkets first, marked with a diamond, because they have no crafting use. Destructoid also lists Sample Cleaner at 3,000 and several items at 2,000 (Jan 14, 2026).

How do you get ARC Alloy in ARC Raiders? No reliable source lists exact drops: it is a Topside material you find in raids, per Dexerto's Mar 25, 2026 list. Refiner recipes then turn 8 ARC Alloy into an ARC Motion Core or ARC Circuitry.

Should you recycle Rusted Gear in ARC Raiders? Keep 3 for Gunsmith 3 first, then recycle extras into Mechanical Components, per Nov 2025 and Jan 2026 guides.

Is recycling better than selling in ARC Raiders? If you need the parts, yes; if not, compare the tooltip's outputs with the sell value. KeenGamer says recycling in Speranza returns more than salvaging in the field.
