ARC Raiders: Frozen Trail out forSince Oct 8, 2026

Flying ARC

Flying ARC in ARC Raiders fall when you break what lifts them. Shoot two of a Wasp's four propellers, a Hornet's two rear propellers, a Snitch's plates, a Rocketeer's armored thrusters, a Firefly's yellow fuel canister, and a Vaporizer's side rotors once its shield drops.

To kill a flying ARC machine in ARC Raiders, shoot what keeps it in the air: propellers on the Wasp and Hornet, plates or thrusters on the Snitch, thrusters on the Rocketeer, and rotors on the Vaporizer; the Firefly instead carries a yellow fuel canister that explodes. Most weak points here come from Game Rant's guide of Apr 4, 2026 and drops from TheGamer's of Feb 27, 2026, corrected with Embark's patch notes through update 2.3.0 (Oct 27, 2026). No reliable source gives official health values as of Oct 31, 2026. In the clip, Fallout Plays says flying ARC crash once two turbines break (Feb 25, 2026).

Quick facts

Wasp Two of four propellers, any ammo
Hornet Two rear propellers, or front shields with heavy ammo
Snitch Two of three plates with heavy ammo; calls reinforcements
Firefly Yellow fuel canister as it deploys
Rocketeer Strip one thruster with heavy ammo, then any ammo
Vaporizer Belly to trigger the shield, then the side rotors
ARC Turbine Legs, then tanks near the landing gear

Wasp

The Wasp is the common light drone with light guns. Shoot down two of its four propellers with any ammo and it dies when it hits the ground (Game Rant, Apr 4, 2026). It drops ARC Alloy, ARC Powercell, Wasp Driver and Light Ammo (TheGamer, Feb 27, 2026). Launch-era Gunsmith level 2 took 8 Wasp Drivers (Destructoid, Nov 2, 2025), and The Trifecta quest wants one each from a Wasp, Hornet and Snitch (PC Gamer, May 1, 2026). Shooting off a thruster earns the Mechanical Failure achievement, held by 85.4% of Steam players on Oct 31, 2026.

Hornet

The Hornet flies with an electric stun weapon behind front shields. Take out the two exposed rear propellers with any gun, or strip the front shields with heavy ammo (Game Rant, Apr 4, 2026); a fall from height destroys it (TheGamer, Feb 27, 2026). So circle it rather than trade fire from the front.

It drops ARC Alloy, ARC Powercell, Hornet Driver, Simple Gun Parts and Medium Ammo. Since 1.17.0 (Feb 24, 2026) a dead Hornet keeps its upper armor, which marks its lootable piece apart from a Wasp's, and the same update added the Hornet Driver as a crafting cost. The Sparks Fly quest asks you to destroy one with a Trigger 'Nade or Snap Blast (PC Gamer, May 1, 2026).

Snitch

The Snitch is an unarmed scout that calls other ARC, so it is the first thing to shoot. Guides disagree on where: Game Rant says hit two of its three white propeller plates with heavy ammo (Apr 4, 2026), TheGamer says the thrusters, which stops the call (Feb 27, 2026). Throwing a Lure Grenade no longer aborts its call since 1.13.0 (Jan 27, 2026). In the clip, Fallout Plays breaks two of its three wings (Feb 25, 2026).

The call got more dangerous on Aug 21, 2026: a Snitch can now bring a Rocketeer, or a Firefly and Hornet duo (1.42.0). It drops ARC Alloy, ARC Powercell, ARC Synthetic Resin, Sensors and Snitch Scanner. The Scanner lets you call ARC yourself; since 1.45.0 (Sep 8, 2026) Scanners spawn ARC like a real Snitch, with a lower chance of stronger machines. Killing a Snitch with a Stitcher earns Snitches get Stitches, held by 35.5% of Steam players on Oct 31, 2026.

Firefly

The Firefly arrived with Shrouded Sky on Feb 23, 2026 as an armored flyer shooting a jet of flame. Shoot the yellow fuel canister between body and flamethrower as it descends and deploys (Game Rant, Apr 4, 2026). TheGamer adds that it hunts players into cover, and Lure Grenades can redirect it (Feb 27, 2026). Embark cut its presence heavily on Dam Battlegrounds in 1.26.0 (Apr 28, 2026) because it made beginner sessions too hard. In the clip, Embark's designers explain backing off its presence for newer players on Dam Battlegrounds.

It drops ARC Powercell, ARC Alloy, Firefly Burner and Synthesized Fuel. As of update 2.3.0 (Oct 27, 2026) a thrown Firefly Burner activates on impact, leaves a trail of fire and explodes after about 3 seconds; before, you had to shoot it to vent fire.

Rocketeer

The Rocketeer is the big flying missile platform. Strip the armor off one of its four thrusters with heavy ammo, then shoot it with anything; losing one thruster greatly hinders its movement, and the area above the eye is also weak (Game Rant, Apr 4, 2026). Lure Grenades can redirect its fire (TheGamer, Feb 27, 2026). In the clip, Fallout Plays shows the armor above the eye (Feb 25, 2026).

TheGamer lists ARC Alloy, ARC Powercell, ARC Motion Core, ARC Circuitry, Advanced ARC Powercell, Heavy Gun Parts, Rocketeer Driver and Heavy Ammo, but since 1.33.0 (Jun 16, 2026) it drops Launcher Ammo instead of Heavy Ammo. Looting a thruster has paid 500 XP since 1.2.0 (Nov 13, 2025). The Driver feeds Out of the Shadows (PC Gamer, May 1, 2026) and, since 2.0, Embedded Blast Engineering research at 5 Drivers (Game Rant, Oct 14, 2026): see Weapon Amplification. Destroying one earns Bringing Down the Big Guns, held by 46.6% of Steam players on Oct 31, 2026; dealing 50 damage from on top of one earns Death From Above, held by 4.7%.

Vaporizer

The Vaporizer arrived with Flashpoint on Mar 31, 2026. Game Rant's method: wait until it stops hovering, shoot the belly so it raises its energy shield, then hit the side rotors once the shield drops to make it crash (Apr 4, 2026). Destructoid recommends a sheltered spot to kite from and long-range, high-damage weapons: the Aphelion, a fully upgraded Renegade on the rotors, a full Hullcracker clip, or a Wolfpack (Apr 1, 2026). Since 2.0 (Oct 8, 2026) its multi-target laser gives a clearer dodge window. In the clip, The Gaming Merchant shoots the underbelly and waits out the shield (Apr 3, 2026); he found the thrusters inefficient.

Early guides say it appears only in Close Scrutiny, but 1.26.0 (Apr 28, 2026) added it to more maps and conditions and raised the Regulator's stack size from 1 to 3. Destructoid found Regulators apparently guaranteed from its salvage; the Dolabra costs two each, and the High-Gain Antenna project wanted more (Apr 1, 2026). See Shotguns and Battle Rifles and Map Conditions.

ARC Turbine

The Turbine came with Riven Tides on Apr 28, 2026 and drifts docile until disturbed. TheGamer says it fires bouncing lightning missiles that stun and drops mines; target the legs, then on the ground hit the internal machinery and yellow tanks near its landing gear (Apr 30, 2026). The Photoelectric Cloak works against its lightning since 1.42.0 (Aug 21, 2026). In the clip, Embark's designer warns that a tight spot or alley will likely kill you.

Embark significantly raised its loot value in 1.36.0 and stopped its parts dropping from Couriers (Jul 7, 2026). Where to find one changed in 2.2.0 (Oct 20, 2026): it now spawns in nearly all sessions where it can on Buried City, Riven Tides, The Blue Gate and Spaceport, and it left standard sessions and most minor conditions on Dam Battlegrounds.

Assessor

The Assessor is the huge machine of the Close Scrutiny operation. It lands during that condition, added in 1.22.0, and flies back into orbit, carries breach platforms and summons ARC that despawn if idle, per 1.23.0 (Apr 8, 2026). The ARC Surveyor's beam calls it in (1.26.0). No reliable source we could read in full gives a way to destroy it. For the Surveyor, see Ground ARC.

Frequently asked questions

How do you kill a Wasp in ARC Raiders? Shoot down two of its four propellers with any ammo; it is destroyed when it hits the ground, Game Rant says (Apr 4, 2026).

How do you kill a Hornet in ARC Raiders? Get behind it and shoot the two exposed rear propellers with any gun, or strip the front shields with heavy ammo. A fall from height destroys it.

How do you stop a Snitch in ARC Raiders? Shoot it down quickly, using heavy ammo on two of its three white plates or fire at its thrusters. Since update 1.42.0 (Aug 21, 2026) its call can bring a Rocketeer, or a Firefly and Hornet together.

How do you kill a Rocketeer in ARC Raiders? Strip the armor from one of its four thrusters with heavy ammo, then shoot the thruster with anything. Losing one thruster badly hinders it. It has dropped Launcher Ammo since update 1.33.0.

Where do you find the Vaporizer in ARC Raiders? It began in the Close Scrutiny condition on Mar 31, 2026, and update 1.26.0 added it to more maps and conditions on Apr 28, 2026. No reliable source lists every spawn as of Oct 31, 2026.

How do you kill a Firefly in ARC Raiders? Shoot the yellow fuel canister between its body and flamethrower as it comes down to deploy. Lure Grenades can pull it away from you.

Where does the ARC Turbine spawn in ARC Raiders? Since update 2.2.0 (Oct 20, 2026) it spawns in nearly all eligible sessions on Buried City, Riven Tides, The Blue Gate and Spaceport, and it is gone from standard Dam Battlegrounds sessions.
