ARC Raiders' default PC keys are WASD to move, Left Shift to sprint, Left Alt to dodge, E to interact, Tab for inventory and M for the map. Most gamepad buttons can be rebound since update 1.13.0, and update 2.0 changed the default gamepad mapping without publishing the new layout in its Steam highlights.

Known keyboard issues: with a layout other than US English, custom keybinds reset after every raid, still listed at 2.0. On Epic, sudden loss of keyboard input was a known issue at 1.42.0; Embark suggested disabling overlays and alt-tabbing.

As of Oct 31, 2026, no reliable source publishes the 2.0 gamepad layout in full. The HUD's hints for the Raider Tool and melee were corrected in 2.3.0, so the on-screen prompts are the best guide. To change a button, use the options tab that allows free rebinding of most gamepad buttons (1.13.0). Embark also added gamepad aim assist for Sentinels, Turrets, Shredders and Surveyors in 1.17.0, and the Riven Tides notes made it track Queen and Matriarch weak spots.

Sensitivity

No reliable source publishes a recommended mouse or stick sensitivity for ARC Raiders as of Oct 31, 2026, and Embark does not give one. It depends on your device and your preference, so try values in a quiet Dam Battlegrounds round on a Free Loadout.

Settings worth changing

Gameplay. Crossplay can be turned off under the Gameplay tab (Game Rant, Oct 2025); it changes your queue pool, not the tone of your matches, per Embark. See Platforms and Crossplay. The camera bob option joined this tab in 2.3.0, and the Emissive Toggle turns off backpack lights.

Voice. Proximity chat can be muted or disabled, and Game Rant suggests Team Only for voice and emotes, with G then K on PC to change who hears them if you want quiet. A microphone test arrived in 1.7.0. See PvP Guide.

PCGamesN measured 104fps average and 55fps 1% lows at 1080p on an RTX 4070 with its settings (Nov 2025). A known 2.0 quirk: Outpost lighting corrupts with Shadow quality on Low.
