Platforms and Crossplay

ARC Raiders is on Windows through Steam and Epic, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and GeForce Now, with crossplay across them that you can turn off in the Gameplay settings. There is no Mac or native Linux version, and its anti-cheat has caused trouble on Linux and Steam Deck.

What is on each platform

Steam and Epic. Both run the same Windows game. Steam shows Family Sharing, DualShock and DualSense support, and in-app purchases. Epic achievements were enabled in 1.7.0. Steam also warns that the kernel anti-cheat and Denuvo need manual removal after uninstalling. The hardware needed is on PC Requirements and Performance.

PS5. PS5 Pro gained PSSR 2 in update 1.26.0, reported by Digital Citizen. PS5 crashes were the target of hotfixes 1.23.1 and 1.25.0.

Xbox Series X|S. Series S has been the tight spot: memory-related crashes were a long known issue, with cuts in 2.1.0 (Spaceport, Buried City, Dam Battlegrounds) and more in 2.3.0 (audio, around the Frigate). Embark listed some Xbox crashes as known at 2.2.0.

GeForce Now. Embark named it as a launch platform. It streams the game on GeForce Now's terms; no reliable source was read on its current plans, so check Nvidia's list.

Steam Deck and Linux. The Denuvo Anti-Cheat rollout caused error ARAV1011 for some Linux and SteamOS players, per GamingOnLinux on Jun 16, 2026, with a partial fix on Proton Experimental's bleeding edge, and the game was rated Playable on Deck at that time. The current state on 2.3.0 was not verified from a reliable source as of Oct 31, 2026, so check Valve's rating on the store page before you buy for Deck. PCGamesN offered Deck settings on Nov 4, 2025, before those changes.

Crossplay rules

GameRant confirmed crossplay across PC, Xbox and PS5 at launch, with the switch in the Gameplay tab. Three details have come since.

What the switch does. Per Embark on May 20, 2026, changing crossplay changes who is in your matchmaking pool, and so how long you wait, but it does not guarantee the tone of your encounters. See Matchmaking.
Errors. Since 1.45.0 a failed queue gives a clearer message if your crossplay settings are incompatible with your party's.
A past bug. Hotfix 1.26.1, Apr 30, 2026 fixed crossplay turning off on all platforms after the setting was changed.

Cross-progression

GameRant wrote on Oct 29, 2025 that a second copy is needed on the other platform. Whether progress carries between platforms today is not settled by any source read for this page as of Oct 31, 2026, so do not buy a second copy on the assumption that it does.

Controllers

Steam lists full controller support. Update 2.0 changed the default gamepad mapping on all platforms, and the notes read do not give the new layout. Bindings and what is known are on Controls and Settings. Aim assist was extended to leg joints and weak spots on the Bastion, Bombardier, Queen and Matriarch in 1.26.0.

Languages

Steam lists English with full audio, plus French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, and Turkish. Embark said on Jan 28, 2026 that a full Ukrainian translation "among other languages" is in the works, with no date.
