Buried City

Buried City is the ARC Raiders urban map in Southern Calabretta, unlocked after 6 rounds in TheGamer's Feb 2026 guide. Its best loot is at the Hospital, Space Travel and Town Hall, and it has four key rooms, metro station exits and the Bird City condition.

Buried City is the ruined town in Southern Calabretta that Embark used for the ARC Raiders gameplay reveal, and the second map most players reach: TheGamer has it unlocking after 6 rounds, at medium difficulty (Feb 27, 2026). The best loot is at the Hospital, Space Travel and Town Hall. Exits are metro stations, and rooftops matter here more than on any other map because of the Bird City condition. Game Rant notes that train station signs suggest an old name, "Marano", an inference from signage rather than anything Embark has said (Nov 18, 2025). The clip opens on a Buried City title card over the reveal's early gameplay.

Old World and Residential loot is where trinkets turn up, which is why TheGamer names Buried City for selling (Nov 4, 2025; check loot zones since). The Money Making Guide has more.

Keys

Key What it opens
Town Hall Key Town Hall door
Residential Master Key Apartments in the building south of West Village
JKV Employee Access Card Fourth-floor door in the Space Travel building
Hospital Key Door in the Hospital

Source: Dexerto's key list, Apr 29, 2026. Sources disagree on the JKV card: TheGamer puts its door at the top floor of the parking garage (Feb 14, 2026), while Dexerto and Gfinity place it in the Space Travel building. Every map's keys are on Keys.

Raider Hatches and metro exits

Shacknews lists four hatches: Collapsed Supermarket (northeast of Hospital), Train Station (west of Library), Highway Overpass (at Town Hall) and Old Town (under Abandoned Highway Camp), dated Nov 2, 2025: check in game.

The standard exit here is a train station with several entrances and its console underground against the gated tracks. TheGamer says stations can take a fight to get into, with ARC slightly less likely close by, and that benches and curved walls give cover (Nov 1, 2025). Process and timing are on Extraction and Raider Hatches. The clip, a launch-era guide, explains the metro station's alarm and wait.

Bird City and other conditions

Bird City is a permanent condition on this map only, cycling in and out of rotation weekly, added in 1.13.0. Birds nest in the chimneys and store trinkets inside, there are more bird traps and ziplines, and Embark warns of more combat around the rooftops, more flying ARC and more players nearby. Update 1.17.0 slightly lowered the chance of rare loot in chimneys. Update 1.45.0 sent players to Bird City for the community-designed Rubber Ducks. In the clip Embark recalls the idea: a small January condition with rubber ducks in nests hidden in the chimneys.

The tracker also schedules Husk Graveyard and Hurricane here (read Oct 31, 2026), and the Frigate visits this map. Update 2.2.0 made ARC Turbines near-certain in Buried City sessions where they were only a chance before. Every effect is on Map Conditions.

Changes worth knowing

Update 1.26.0 reduced Comet presence here to bring beginner sessions back to the intended difficulty. Update 1.13.0 removed the musical puzzle and made the guitar a purchase at Shani's, so old guides to the puzzle are stale. Update 2.1.0 reduced memory use here, especially on Xbox Series S.
